It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

I got bored with waiting for DA to give me the option to change my gift art group name, so I've created a fresh one.

Rather than irritate everyone with requests to add their deviations to the gallery, I'm going to wait and let them resubmit on their own, if they choose.
DaggitSwitch, the old group, is going to be closed and the galleries will eventually disappear. Not today, but in the near future. It's an old name connected to old world material and I'm kind of tired of looking at the name.  (I'll make sure everything is in my favorites before it goes, maybe in a special folder if I remember..  but the group itself is going the way of the dinosaurs).
