Cats are small colored doodles of your character of choice or your actual pet as a cat.
Note, cats do NOT come with a background. I generally send them as a cat with a transparent background, like so: www.other-worldly.com/random/m…
Sometimes I post them in bundled deviations with odd color shapes in place of a background to make the overall image more interesting. The shape is not actually included in the commission.
They come in a big size and a little size. The example above is about as big as they get and your 'big size' will be in that ballpark. Actual dimensions differ depending on the cat's pose.
The small size is usually between 100 and 300 px wide. (Same image, resized)
- $6.50 each (paypal only for now)
- Payment must be in advance. I don't start working until payment is received.
- I try to finish ALL commissions within 30 days after payment is received, but cats usually go much quicker (usually).
- I generally don't work on commissions in order. I hop around depending on what's more convenient (and sometimes most pressing) that day. I think this produces better quality commissions because some days I'm just in a mood more complimentary of a certain kind of commission.
- Image refs of a character or pet are good but I'll take simple descriptions too.
- I rarely leave money sitting in my paypal. If a refund is requested it may take two weeks + plus the time it takes the bank to transfer the money back to paypal. Please only commission me if you're SURE you want it.
- I don't give previews. SOMETIMES I might, but it's left to my discretion. You will literally receive a finished product in your inbox. It's sort of a grab bag deal. You don't know exactly what you're getting until you get it. I DO try to please my buyers and if I get something significantly wrong (fur color, eye color, maybe the fur is too long when it should be short fur) I'll fix the error. Sometimes I provide previews, sometimes I don't. Its up to my discretion. (this will be especially true for this round. I'm in a rush).
- Remember to check your mail occasionally just in case I do send a preview. If I send one and don't get a reply within a week, I'll likely finish the commission anyway.
- I will need to know your city and state for my sales records. You don't have to provide your street address anymore.
I DO post some commissions in my gallery and I don't usually put image-obscuring watermarks on them. You may request that I not post your commission, but unless you specifically ask me not to, I will assume it's okay.
- I do all commissions over emails now. Please fill out this template and send it to my email at greekceltic@gmail.com if you'd like a commission.

What colors would you like used in the fur? (some folks have characters with not traditionally-catty colors, which is why I ask):
Desired pose or expression:
Image refs if you have any:
Brief description if you don't:
If it has wings/horns/extralimbs: Let me know if you want the wings, horns, fangs, talons or whatever doodled in. Otherwise I'll have to make an educated guess.
Your city and state or city and country:
Don't forget to include your city/state of residence. You don't have to include your street address, just city, state, (or equivalent of, depending on where you are in the world).

Still being copied.
Yeah, I’m aware that someone is copying my art pretty hard. I'd just like it to be known I'm not associated with it or okay with it. I don't mind when someone references my art to learn to draw noses or takes some inspiration. That’s how we learn and there’s nothing wrong with it. The situation I’m referencing is significant and continuous, and goes to an extreme most people never would. I've messaged them about it and they're blocked. No witch hunts, that's not what I'm here for. It's just become clear me that I can't ignore it. **I need to add that I've already sought advice from more experienced artists on how to deal with this. I appreciate it but no further advice is really needed.
Stored a bunch of art.
The N/F/T theft is turning into a daily chore to report, so I stored all art I could find that included characters that aren't mine (except for one or two people). To my knowledge none of that art has been reposted. The rest I'm undecided about.
Q and A: Did I take art classes/can I suggest any
Answering a question I got today- Edit: This barely answers the question I got. I went off on a tangent. Sorry about that. I did take art classes as a kid. I was lucky enough to have a private tutor, and I am very glad I had that experience. I appreciate the man who spent that time with me and gave me confidence. Without him I don't know if I would have enjoyed art as much as I have. He will always be one of my favorite people and I wish I had told him that when he was alive. He taught me the basics and some tips and tricks of traditional media, but the most influential thing he did for me was put me in a mindset where I would be willing to take constructive criticism from other people. I haven't had college classes. I would love to take them, I think I would benefit a lot. But most of what I apply to art I learned from books, admiring art that I enjoy (like comic books) and being around other artists. MOSTLY THE LAST THING. Being around other artists is without comparison. You can
I don't respond to live chats.
Just gonna... yeah. I haven't gotten any yet but I don't even keep up with DA notes. I will never respond to a deviantart live chat and have them muted. It's nothing personal and I enjoy chatting with people as a rule, but live chat on a setting like this isn't for me. Edit: I don't care that it is exists. Live chat is not for me on most platforms as a personal preference and if I can't disable it I make a note of my habits so no one feels personally ignored if they send me a message and don't get one back.
