Personality: Quiet and sometimes Grumpy, Gethin doesn't like to socialize much. He's preoccupied by other things, like figuring out how to get back where he came from. He is not unkind and could be described as gentle. Gethin doesn't have to fight anyone very often, a man his size usually doesn't.

Is there anything you feel very STRONGLY that your character NOT be drawn doing?: Kissing another character or nude would be weird. Other than that, should be fine as long as you stay within his personality.

You don't have to ask me to draw him in a challenge, just go for it!

About Gale and Gethin
Gale and Gethin are the SAME PERSON, just from different periods in his life. Their simultaneous existence in Hetherev is something of a time paradox. They can't see or perceive each other, except through the accounts and claims of others.
They also both possess the Hhoota form. Their presence in Hetherev in no way effects each other's ability to take the form. Reality seems to just ignore the fact that they're both there (for simplicity's sake).
Gethin is just a younger Gale. He's somewhere over 1500 years old, where as Gale is his present day identity and caps at about 2400.

Preferences: Does need to be returned, preferably without a quarrel.
Features: Yes. Whoever is in possession of this object may be aware Gethin is looking for it by being in possession of it. It has his 'essence' attached to it. Not unlike someone's personal handkerchief will have their scent attached to it, Gethin's pendulum has his essence.

Features: Nothing magical about them. XD They're just glasses.

Object type: Cat's Eye
Object size: Marble sized.
Object location: Not yet claimed.
Preferences: Does not have to be returned, but it should never leave Hetherev. (IE, it shouldn't become a permanent part of a character's design elsewhere).
Features: A magical storage device. It is not alive, but may emit a feeling of looking back once in a while. It's creepy. It is literally a cat eye in the form of a glass marble, so it sometimes behaves like a cat. It does whatever it damn well pleases. The pupil does not move.

Object location: Wherever Kishi finds it.

Features: Nothing magical about it. It's just an old cloak Gethin lost on arrival.

Flight and Further Personality
Gethin's ability to fly is largely limited to gliding. He prefers open spaces and somewhere high to take off from. He can get in the air from the ground, with some effort, but it expends more energy than it's really worth. A smaller, better equipped flier would have an advantage in the air, but Gethin's intimidating size and features are not just for show. If he wants to deal some damage he most definitely can. The question is more to do with will he or won't he. Most often he won't.
Looks and cranky disposition aside, he's actually very gentle and highly unlikely to inflict any harm to anyone.

Gethin is substantially older than the 53 years he likes to pretend to be. Life has already thrown him all it's curve balls and he already knows there's no use in fretting and fussing. It is what it is. Think of him as a calm, but still expressive character.

He is cranky but he isn't in the business of physical violence unless it's deserved. He's also not against hanging someone upside down if they're getting on his nerves or won't stay out of his space. He's a big fella and he knows it. He's more likely to cram someone in a bucket and sit on the lid than to actually cause intense physical injury.
That doesn't mean he won't leave your character hanging from a tree if they happen to say the exact wrong thing. His crankiness manifests itself in creative alternatives to causing pain.

He frowns a lot and he's grumpy but at the end of the day he's still gentle natured and not above a soft smile.

If your character is lost, in a pretty tough jam or otherwise in distress, then Gethin will probably (with some reluctance) help them out. He'll be more than happy to lead you out of the forest, just don't expect him to come out with you.

Unless he feels like it.

Hhoota
Hhoota is an alternate form Gethin has the ability to take.
It’s his personification of his (inactive) role as a traveling god.

It’s pretty rare for Gethin to take this form. He’s very private about Hhoota’s existance. He and Hhoota are the same entity. They're permanently merged and as far as anyone can tell, they're the same creature. Sometimes Gethin will refer to Hhoota in the third person, but don't let it confuse you into thinking it's not just Gethin taking a gray horse form.

- Hhoota form enables a quicker means of traveling, but nothing too far outside the realm of just galloping at full sprint.
- He doesn’t remember how to tap into any of his other quirks (yet). They may come up later through challenges, if they do I’ll update his sheet.
- Gethin's primary Hhoota related ability that never seems to be 'forgotten' is that he can absorb energy and in Hhoota form may radiate energy from his mouth or the pits on Hhoota's body. It can take the form of an attack, but really.. I would expect Hhoota to do more trampling than energy burning.
- His ability to recall how to do Hhoota related things will be different from Gale’s, because their experiences in Hetherev are different.

Because of Hhoota Gethin does’t eat. He gets what he needs from absorbing
energy. It’s second nature to him (and harmless to others). He doesn’t steal people’s life force or drain things of power or anything like that. It’s not a visual thing and he’s not ‘loud’
about it.

If your character is sensitive to that kind of thing they might notice it. It’s very low-key.

When in Hhoota form Gethin’s personality may be even less friendly. He probably wouldn’t hurt your character, he’s in control, but he gets excessively cranky.

He can speak in this form.

About Gale --
For those that don't already know, Gethin is an earlier identity of Gale (Gale is the SAME GUY, just the name he goes by and way he looks in present day). Gethin is just a different identity from an earlier time period. Their presence together in Hetherev is something of a time paradox. They can't see or perceive each other, except through the accounts of other characters.
I don't know yet what time era Gethin comes from, but I've been considering 15 - 1600s.

Both identities possess the ability to use the Hhoota form and being in Hetherev together doesn't effect it in any way. (For simplicities sake, I'm not going to think about that too hard.)

As for Gethin hanging upside down when he sleeps, XD that's for our amusement.
