Gale Ref Sheetby ~ashley-lee

I'm not going to dig into Gale's personality right now because I think a lot of you already kind of know about it.

Gale's a pain to draw, he always has been. I think my average human is measured in 7 or 7 and a half heads, but because Gale is 6'9'' and freakishly tall, I'm going to start measuring him in 8 heads or slightly less than 8. I'm not sure how I feel about that, I'll come back to it later.

There should have been a few more doodles of him smiling, but I think this works. Story-Gale is sweet natured and gentle as a lamb, but it's not as obvious as it was with roleplay-Gale. He doesn't grin as often, I guess.

This file has traveled between three harddrives since I started it probably two months ago, so you can imagine how I was frothing at the mouth to get it finished.

And yet it still seemed to drag on forever.

Anyway, the whole purpose of it was I wanted to try something different. I see so many ref sheets with big chunks of written information. Usually the information has more to do with how a creature functions, and not as much to do with personality, history, or the kind of stuff I wish I had known more about for most of my interaction commissions. So when I started Gale's sheet I decided I wanted it to be composed more of visual information than written.

Unfortunately I kinda effed it up so instead of an epic, scene-by-scene recap of Gale's life and personality I have... XD whatever this is. Mix-matched junk that doesn't really mean anything or make any sense all mashed together.

_{Book on the face is so my favorite, though I may be horribly biased from all the loafing and reading during the rain growing up, ahahaha.}
